* Bratislava, December 15, 1838 – † Bratislava, February 5, 1869 / physician, academic teacher ; ; Gusztáv Láng Sr. (1803–1878) was the son of a practicing physician in Bratislava. He received his medical degree from the University of Pest and was an assistant professor at its physiology department, in 1865 he became a private professor of histopathology, and from 1867 a professor at the Medical Academy in Cluj-Napoca. He was a member of several Hungarian and foreign scientific societies. His articles were mainly medical in nature, but he also dealt with zoology.
