* Žilina, around 1633 – † Prešov, April 2, 1686 / Evangelical pastor, teacher, philosophical writer ; ; His father was the rector of the Evangelical school in Žilina. He completed his school studies in Levoča, Bratislava and Sárospatak, where he was a student of Comenius. He was then a university student in Erfurt and then in Wittenberg. In 1652–1659 he was a teacher in Žilina, from 1659 in Bártfán, then a school principal. In 1667 he was appointed pastor in Hőlak, from 1668 to 1673 he was a teacher at the Prešov college, then a priest of the Evangelical Church in Tiszló and archdeacon of Kishont. He first hid from the persecutions of the Counter-Reformation in Késmárk, then fled to Thorn, then went to Danzig. He traveled a lot in Germany. In 1677 he went to Transylvania as a teacher at the Szaszváros school. In 1682 Imre Thököly called him back to Hungary and appointed him director of the Prešov college. In his philosophical works he was a supporter of Protestant scholasticism. He also wrote school dramas.
