L. Margit Erdélyi

* Hontfüzesgyarmat, April 29, 1945 – / literary historian, specialist writer, extraordinary university professor ; ; He graduated from the Zselízi Gymnasium in 1962. Between 1962 and 1967 he studied Hungarian-Slovak at the Pedagogical College in Nitra, and in 1980 he obtained a secondary school teacher’s certificate in the same subjects at the Comenius University in Bratislava. Between 1967 and 1987 he was first a primary school teacher in Fegyvernek, Nagyölved, Nagysalló, then he taught at the pedagogical vocational secondary school in Léva, as well as at the Hungarian gymnasium in Ipolyság and Zselízi. For a short time he also worked at the District Pedagogical Institute in Bratislava, and then at the Léva district folk culture center. In the meantime, he obtained his doctoral and candidate's degrees and from 1987 he taught as an assistant professor at the Pedagogical College in Nitra. In 1994–1996 he was the head of the Department of Hungarian Studies. Between 1998 and 2004 he was an associate professor and deputy head of the Department of Hungarian Studies at the Bél Mátyás University in Bánya-Biszterce. Since 2004 he has been the head of the Department of Hungarian Language and Literature with the title of extraordinary university professor and the dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training at the Selye János University in Komárom. His research areas are drama and literary theory, drama pedagogy, comparative literature and educational theory.
