The photo was taken of Mária Palencsár, born in 1902, in her hospital bed. The disease, which is still very dangerous today - peritoneal tuberculosis. This forced Mária to be hospitalized. The photo was taken by the FOTO-Slager Photo Salon in Košice. This is confirmed by the stamp on the back of the photo. Due to the disease, an operation was performed, after which a very quick recovery followed, which surprised even the doctors. According to family stories, strong faith played a major role in the recovery. After recovery, she lived another 50 years in peace, surrounded by her family.
