* June 29, 1893, Rozsnyó † September 4, 1957, Budapest / Mining engineer ; ; He began his studies in 1912 at the Selmecbánya Academy, and in 1920 he graduated from the Sopron Mining College. From 1920 he was the plant engineer of the Királd-Putnok coal mines. In 1927 he received a doctorate in geology from the University of Budapest. Between 1927 and 1934 he was the chief engineer of the director of the Majdanpek copper mine in Serbia. After his return, he was an expert in the construction of the Budapest Waterworks tunnel under the Danube in Újpest. He was the first to draw attention to the effect of light refraction during measurements made in compressed air, and from 1938 he became involved in the work of shaft deepening and mining civil engineering.
