Between 1889 and 1905 he was an acting professor of the surgical clinic, then a titular extraordinary professor. Between 1908 and 1914 he was the chief physician of the János Hospital, and between 1914 and 1925 he was a public regular professor at the Budapest II. surgical clinic, of which he was also the director.
