Geza Kur

* Kulcsod, July 30, 1893 – † Niles [USA], December 23, 1991 / church historian, writer ; ; He began his secondary education at the Lutheran Lyceum in Bratislava, then continued in Pápa and graduated from there in 1918 with a degree in Reformed theology. From 1920 to 1944 he was a pastor in Csicsó. At the end of World War II, he emigrated to Western Europe, then went to the USA and served as a priest of the Hungarian Reformed congregation in Niles, Ohio, for five years. Later, he founded a small publishing house and launched the magazine Fáklya. Between 1918 and 1944, he dealt with church history and processed the history of four Reformed churches – Komárom, Kolozsnéma, Komáromfüss and Csicsó. He also researched Czech-Hungarian Reformed relations. In the USA, his interest turned to the affinity of the Hungarian language and he became a staunch supporter of the camp of those who promote Etruscan-Hungarian linguistic affinity and wrote several books on the subject.
