* Breznóbánya, April 1, 1850 – † Bakabánya, July 26, 1914 / teacher, amateur botanist and flora researcher ; ; He began his schooling in his hometown, graduated from the Slovak Evangelical Gymnasium in Nagyrőce, and obtained his teaching certificate from the State Teacher Training College in Léva in 1870. He taught in Bakabánya between 1870 and 1913. He primarily researched the flora of Bakabánya, Breznóbánya and the Low Tatras, and was considered an expert on the genera Rubus and Rosa.
