Zoltán Krupar

* Pelsőc, December 29, 1922 – † Prague, June 15, 1989 / chemical engineer, speleologist, ; photographer ; ; He began his school studies in his native village, graduating from the Rožňava gymnasium in 1942. In 1942–1944, he studied at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering at the József Nádor University of Technology in Budapest, but interrupted his studies due to the war and later obtained a degree in chemical engineering in Prague. He was interested in the Gömör–Tornai Karst, primarily the caves of the Silicefenník, since he was a student. He mapped numerous caves, took photographs during his research and reported on his results in Slovak professional journals, primarily in the bimonthly journal Krásy Slovenska.
