Moric Krippel

* Kátló, September 5, 1867 – † Sopron, November 23, 1945 / forest engineer, university professor ; ; He graduated from the Mining and Forestry Academy in Selmecbánya. From 1890 he managed the Székely public forests in Transylvania. In 1908 he was appointed to the Department of Forestry at the Selmecbánya College, which he later became head of and remained after the College moved to Sopron. He was the rector of the College from 1914 to 1916. Later he became a professor at the József Nádor University of Technology and Economics in Budapest and also held the position of dean of the forest engineering department. His achievements in surveying technology are significant. He wrote the chapter entitled Forestry Utilization in the Forestry Pocket Calendar.
