* Kralován, December 27, 1759 – † Sopron, November 14, 1809 / Lutheran high school teacher, naturalist, entomologist ; ; He began his school studies in Szucsány, Turóc County, and then completed them at the high school in Késmárk. For a while he was a home tutor in Igló. In 1786 he enrolled at the University of Wittenberg, and in 1787 he became a student at the University of Jena. From September 1789 he taught in Késmárk, between 1793 and 1803 he was a lector of the high school in Prešov, and from 1803 until his death he taught in Sopron. He wrote a Latin-language natural history textbook (Naturalis historiae compendium quod in usum suarum praelectionum conscripsit propriisque sumtibus edidit... Cum nomenclatura Hung., germ., slavica, 1795), in which he listed the names of animals, plants and minerals in Latin, Hungarian, German and Slovak. In the book, he dealt with Hungarian insects on nearly forty pages (p. 140–178). He also corresponded with György Károly Rumy (Igló), 8 of his letters have survived in the archives of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
