Antal Kovesi

* Tápióság, August 31, 1876 – † Sopron, November 1, 1961 / mechanical engineer, professor at the Technical University ; ; He received his diploma at the Technical University of Budapest in 1898. In 1901, he was an assistant to Emil Hermann at the Selmecbánya Academy, in 1907 he was a professor of mechanics, and then rector several times. In 1919, he moved to Sopron with the college, and in 1934, when the college was elevated to university status, he was appointed a professor at the Technical University. During his half-century teaching career, he lectured on mechanics, solid mechanics, mechanical industrial mechanics, iron structures, forestry mechanics, and metallurgical mechanics.
