Kossuth's ideal value on Vásárút

LAJOS KOSSUTH'S IDEA LEGACY IN VÁSÁRÚT ; Kossuth's inspiring recruiting speech in Vásárút ; - From the notes of Ármin Vámbéry, the famous orientalist, we learn that in 1848, Kossuth got out of his stagecoach on the road towards Bratislava and gave an enthusiastic recruiting speech to the population of Vásárút. ; - Under the influence of Kossuth's speech, fathers, sons and grandfathers went to fight for Hungarian freedom under the Hungarian flag. ; - Kossuth's spirituality and his ideological legacy live on in the hearts of every Vásárút to this day, and the residents of this small settlement proudly declare themselves Hungarian. ; - Hungarians in Slovakia, who respect the courage of their fathers and preserve Kossuth's ideological legacy among their cherished memories ; ; A monument erected in honor of Kossuth can be found in the churchyard. It was originally made as a national flag, but it was torn down in 1945. A relief and a memorial plaque were placed on the pedestal in 1994, on the 100th anniversary of Kossuth's death. Since then, every year on March 15, the villagers pay their respects to the great Hungarian patriot, who honored our village with his presence and gave strength and courage with his enthusiastic speech. ; ; On the occasion of our national holiday, our school and the people of our village commemorate the great Hungarian, Lajos Kossuth, and together we recall the glorious moments of our history, not forgetting that Kossuth visited our small settlement.
