Vága, March 16, 1945; "The Arrow Cross takeover in Vága took place under almost unprecedented circumstances. The authorities at the time imported Arrow Cross members from Pelsőc. It is still inexplicable, but neither the living witnesses nor the chronicles that have survived in fragments provide any clues as to how the Arrow Cross members came from Pelsőc to Vága. The Arrow Cross members - according to the two sources mentioned - tried to make life miserable for the people of Vága, who had already suffered a lot in the war, in November 1944 and then in January 1945. On the first occasion, they drove about 200 demobilized soldiers, war invalids and convalescent patients from the village to the estates of the Hodi village near Galánta. War production was carried out on this estate, and the penal camp operated. For the second time - in January 1945 - the young people of Vága who had reached the age of 14 - essentially children - were first driven to the Galanta railway station, and then, equipped with 5 days' food for 80 levs, they were forced to march to the Érsekújvár collection point. From there they were directed to Germany. They reached as far as Dresden.
