* Nagyszombat, December 16, 1856 – ? chemist; ; son of József Könyöki (Bratislava). He received a chemical engineering diploma from the Munich Polytechnic in 1877. After that, he spent four years abroad. He earned a doctorate in humanities from the University of Tübingen in 1879, then went on a study tour to Germany and Italy, where he visited several important laboratories. From 1881, he worked in factories in Bohemia and later in Hungary. In 1888, he became a chemist at the National Institute of Chemistry. In 1899, he was appointed head of the Hungarian Royal Chemical Experimental Station in Fiume. He published several articles on agrochemical subjects related to artificial fertilization in various Hungarian and German journals.
