Peter Konya

* Prešov, August 20, 1966 / historian, university professor ; ; He completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown (in 1985), and obtained a history and Russian language teaching diploma from the Šafárik University of Prešov (in 1990). From 1991 he was an assistant professor at the university's history department, from 2001 he was an associate professor, from 2002 he was a professor and head of the department. From 2003 to 2007 he was a deputy dean, from 2007 he was a deputy rector. His research field is primarily medieval urban history, the history of the former Sáros County and Prešov.
