Confirmation

Other - other

Confirmation (Latin confirmatio) means confirmation. In the interpretation of Protestant churches (Reformed, Evangelical, Methodist), it is the preparatory teaching preceding the Lord's Supper, the purpose of which is confirmation in faith. In a broader sense, it is the confirmation of the so-called baptismal covenant at a young age. The aim of the religious education of children and youth growing up in church education is the festive event of confirmation, during which the confirmand makes a personal profession of faith and makes a decision in favor of Christ and the Church of God.
