* Körmöcbánya, June 2, 1859 – † Balassagyarmat, 1942 / forest engineer, chief forest advisor, ; museum director ; ; He completed his secondary school education in his hometown and his college education in Selmecbánya, at the Academy of Mining and Forestry. In 1891, he was transferred to Balassagyarmat, where he worked as a forester and then as a forest advisor for 31 years. In the 1890s, he created the Elizabeth Grove on seven hectares, which replaced the Palóc Grove, which has now shrunk to three hectares. In 1896, he created the forestry pavilion for the Millennium Exhibition in Budapest. His plans and contributions led to the creation of the so-called Nagyliget, which was a favorite excursion and entertainment spot for the people of Balassagyarmat in the 1940s. He was the chairman of the Balassagyarmat committee of the Hungarian Social Science Association. With his participation and articles, the journal Magyar Társadalom was published in 1914. In 1916, he was elected director of the Nógrád County Museum, a position he held until the mid-1920s. A memorial plaque proclaims that he also played a role in the excavation of the Ipolytarnóc fossil.
