* Bratislava, August 16, 1901 – † Budapest, November 25, 1972 / agronomist, university professor, doctor of agricultural science (1952) ; ; He received his diploma from the Academy of Economics in Magyaróvár (1920). He became an intern there, then from 1924 an assistant professor, from 1927 an assistant professor. From 1931 he was a professor of crop production at the Academy of Economics in Keszthely. After a short period of work in Budapest, he was a professor at the University of Agricultural Sciences in Gödöllő from 1949, and its rector from 1957 to 1960. He retired in 1968. His research areas: issues of pasture and meadow management, cover crop organic fertilizer management, alfalfa breeding and seed production, problems of grassland crop rotation, twin-row corn production. His literary work is also significant, with several hundred studies and articles published. He wrote university notes on plant production. His work was recognized with the Kossuth Prize (1957).
