Aranka Kocsis

* Bálványszakállas, December 8, 1953 – / ethnographer, editor ; ; He graduated from the Hungarian Gymnasium in Komárom in 1972, then earned a diploma in Hungarian ethnography from ELTE in Budapest (1977). He received his doctorate in 1995 and his PhD in 2004. In 1977, he was the head of the Somorja House of Homeland Studies, in 1978–1981, a research fellow at the State Territorial Archives in Bratislava, in 1982–1989, an editorial reporter for the weekly Nő and an ethnographic lecturer for Csemadok. In 1990–1993, he was the editor-in-chief of Nő, then editor-in-chief of Tücsök (1995–1999 and 2003–2010). In 1999–2003, he worked at Kalligram Publishing House.
