Katalin Little Petik

* Komárom, August 18, 1970 – / biophysicist, university lecturer ; ; He began his school studies in his hometown, graduating from the Hungarian Gymnasium in Komárom in 1988. In 1988, he came first in the Czechoslovak National Physics Student Olympiad. Between 1988 and 1993, he was a student at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University in Prague, majoring in the physics of molecular and biological systems. Between 1993 and 1994, he was a student at the Medical University of Debrecen, and between 1994 and 1999, he was a student at the doctoral school of the ELTE University in Budapest. His research field at this time was the spectroscopic investigation of the structural forms of plant compounds, primarily protochlorophyllide. In 1999 and 2001, he was a postdoctoral research fellow in the USA. Since 2001, he has been a scientific associate at the Institute of Biophysics and Radiation Biology of the SE (the legal successor of SOTE). He is currently engaged in the in vivo examination of the internal organs of living organisms using the two-photon excited fluorescence microscopy imaging method. He leads biophysics laboratory exercises for medical students.
