King Paul

* Komárom, June 30, 1853 – † Erzsébetváros (Romania) April 1927 / archaeologist, college teacher ; ; Little reliable information is known about his life. He completed his secondary school education in Komárom, Esztergom and Szombathely. He obtained a teaching certificate in history and geography from the University of Budapest. From 1877 he was a teacher at the Déva College, and between 1892 and 1903 he was the director of the state high school in Fehértemplom. From 1903 to 1909 he was a teacher at the Erzsébetváros gymnasium. He primarily researched the past and archaeological monuments of Transylvania. He dealt with the remains of the Mithras Temple discovered in 1882/83.
