In Karva at the Kuzmik Castle

The photograph shows the inner courtyard of the Kuzmik Castle. ; In the former Szarvassy Park, in 1908, Szarvassy's brother-in-law, Dr. Pál Kuzmik, had an Art Nouveau castle built, which he used as a summer residence. The building was modernized in 1935. From 1956, the confiscated building was used by the agricultural vocational training institute, and then in 1961, the Karva health center was located in it. Since 1970, the building has been owned by the Pintér family. In the studio, which stood in the back half of the castle garden, in the 1930s, Lívia Kuzmik's husband, the Dutch-born painter Hubert Sweerts-Sparock, created works. The castle is a two-story building with a rectangular floor plan. The plain facades are divided by three-part windows with corner cornices. The western facade has a polygonal projection, with wall strips in the bends, on which there is a terrace. There is a loggia in the southeast corner, and a closed balcony with a large window in the middle of the ground-floor facade. The original furnishings of the castle have been partially preserved.
