* Levoca, September 22, 1878 – † Budapest, November 16, 1962 / teacher, literary historian ; ; He started his schooling in his hometown. After university studies in Budapest and Leipzig, he received a teaching certificate in 1900. From 1902, he was a high school teacher in Oradea. He was one of the founding members of the Holnap Literary Society. He taught in Levoca from 1911, in Szombathely from 1920, and in Budapest from 1929 to 1937 until his retirement. From 1933 to 1942, he was the editor of the National Secondary School Teachers' Association Gazette. In addition to German language textbooks, he wrote pedagogical and literary history studies. Several articles written in defense of the Hungarian language were published in magazines and newspapers. In Szombathely, he also studied with the outstanding poet Sándor Weöres (1913–1989), whose talent he was among the first to recognize. ; ; His main works: ; The Explanation of the Tragedy of Man, 1935, ; The Explanatory Edition of the Tragedy of Man, 1948.
