Bela Kalas

* August 9, 1950, Felsővály / entrepreneur, farmer ; ; Béla Kalas, born on August 9, 1950 in Felsővály. After completing my elementary school, I graduated from the Szepsi (Moldava n./B.) Agricultural Vocational High School, in the mechanization department in 1969. ; During the two years of compulsory military service, I received training to examine drivers. This qualification was also valid in civilian life after the military service. Thanks to this, I went to work at the district driving school as a full-time job. We provided driving education to the city of Tornalja and its surroundings for 16 years. After that, I also worked as a bus driver for a short time. ; In 1989, the opportunity arose that the system at that time gave the opportunity to open a business, with the exception of Act No. 2. Taking advantage of this opportunity, I opened a wine bar with gypsy music in August 1989. ; In 1992, a change came in my life, because I went to work for an internationally operating company. This company provided self-training for its employees, but it was only evaluated and paid for by performance. Thanks to my successes, I reached the position of director at an international level in Europe within two years, leading several hundred employees. The change then came in my life again in 1996. ; I took over the cadastre of three villages from the then cooperative (JRD) - together with economic farms - for the purpose of agricultural activity. The name of our company is Agro - Derby s.r.o (ltd.) My son Zsolti and I are the owners of our company. In 2016, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of our establishment with 16 employees. ; My son also runs an agrotourism farm as an additional income. ;
