* July 5, 1828, Pográny - †  1885, Pográny / Forty-eighth lieutenant, artillery commander ; ; Viktor Jánoky emerged from their castle in Egerpuszta, which once belonged to Pográny, and became a hero of the War of Independence. He rose to the rank of lieutenant and worked as an artillery commander. His name also predestined him for victorious battles: he was called Viktor, or Győző (one of his sisters was called Viktor, and her husband was a lieutenant colonel). Viktor Jánoky was laid to rest in the family's tomb in Pográny-Egripuszta. His brother, Imre Jánoky, also participated in the War of Independence of 1948, and we will talk about him separately.
