* Svedlér, December 19, 1850 – † Budapest, 1945 ? / mining and smelting engineer ; ; He completed his studies at the Selmecbánya Mining and Forestry Academy from 1871. In 1875–1876, he was an intern at the Salgótarján Ironworks, where he led the construction of the first gas-fired stirring furnaces under the direction of Lajos Borbély (1843–1923). Between 1876 and 1879, he was an assistant professor to Antal Kerpely (Selmecbánya) in the Department of Ferrous Metallurgy at the Selmec Academy. From 1880 until his retirement, in 1920, he was the plant manager engineer of the Rimamurány-Salgótarján Ironworks, and then its director from 1900, who made significant contributions to the organization of the plant and the development of the Salgótarján industrial region. His professional articles were published in the Kohászati Lapok, and his unpublished “Curriculum vitae” contains numerous data valuable to Hungarian industrial history. His son, Antal Jónásch Jr. (1887–after 1964), was a surgeon and at one time director of the Cooperative Hospital in Diósgyőr.
