Being a lover of literature, János Endreffy Sr. himself wrote plays that served to strengthen the soul and train faith. One such work is Jephte's Vow. This play was taught by his son, János Endreffy Jr., to the members of the Evangelical Young Men's Association. The adaptation covers the Book of Judges, part 11, lines 30-40.
