* Nagyráska, September 29, 1928 – † Komárom, November 23, 2013 / linguist, language educator, associate professor ; ; He graduated from the Reformed High School in Sárospatak in 1949 and obtained a Hungarian teaching certificate from the Pedagogical College in Bratislava in 1958. He was a teacher in Nagymegyer from 1956 to 1961 (director from 1957), from 1961 until his retirement (1994) he was an assistant professor at the Department of Hungarian Language and Literature at the Comenius University in Bratislava, then an associate professor (from 1990), and acting head of the department in 1992–1993. In 2004–2010 he was a lecturer at the Reformed Theological Faculty of the Selye János University in Komárom. In addition to his professional and scientific studies, he also published articles on language development and language popularization, and gave language development lectures on the Hungarian broadcast of the Slovak Radio for years. In 1968–1970, he was the scientific secretary of the Czechoslovak Hungarian Language Development and Dialect Research Society, and in 1990–1998, he was the president of the Czech/Slovak Hungarian Mother Tongue Society. From 2000 until his death, he was a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
