* Stósz, November 26, 1840 – † Budapest, March 27, 1913 / legal writer ; ; He completed his high school studies in Rozsnyó and Košice, and his law degree at the University of Pest in 1864. For a while he was a tutor in the house of Count Manó Andrássy, then he interned at the royal manor. In 1868 he obtained a doctorate in law and passed the bar exam. He was a lawyer in Késmárk, then from 1873 he served as a judge in the countryside and from 1881 in Budapest: from 1889 as a judge of the court, from 1891 as a manor judge in the Ministry of Justice. He worked in the legislative preparatory department (land registry matters, enforcement law, etc.). From 1906 until his death, he was a state secretary. He participated in the preparation of the Civil Code from the beginning (1894), he prepared the property law section in both drafts of the draft (1910 and 1913). Between 1906 and 1913 he led the preparatory work for the draft code. In Fodor's Hungarian Private Law he developed the sections on land encumbrances, liens and easements. He was one of the editors of Ráth's annotated code.
