* Felka, February 3, 1892 – † Budapest, July 15, 1954 / botanist, microbiologist, plant pathologist ; ; He obtained his biology and natural history teaching qualification at the University of Budapest in 1914. He was an assistant professor in 1915–1917, later an assistant professor, and from 1922 he was a member of the Institute of Plant Biology and Pathology. Between 1926–1928 he worked as a secondary school teacher, but also continued his previous research. From 1929 he headed the Department of Plant Pathology at the Institute of Horticulture, and in 1936 he obtained a private teaching qualification at the Faculty of Economics of the Technical University. In 1946 he was appointed head of the Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Agricultural Sciences and at the same time became director of the Institute of Plant Health. From 1949 until his death, he was an employee of the Plant Protection Research Institute and in 1952 he obtained the degree of Doctor of Agricultural Science. He primarily dealt with the taxonomy of microscopic fungi and fungal diseases that damage and infect cultivated plants. He also published a paper on the microscopic fungi of his homeland: Data for the knowledge of the microscopic fungal flora of the High Tatras and the Spiš Mountains (1921).
