* Rimaszombat, February 27, 1921 – † Debrecen, January 16, 1984 / neurosurgeon, university professor ; ; He completed his university studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the Tisza István University of Debrecen from 1939, where he obtained his doctorate in medicine in 1944. From 1945 he was a physician at the Debrecen University Neurology Clinic, and from 1947 he joined neurosurgery work alongside Kálmán Sántha. In 1948 he passed the neurology specialist examination, and in 1951 he passed the surgical surgeon examination. After Kálmán Sántha was removed, he headed the neurosurgery department of the medical university from 1951, and headed the neurosurgery department and the X-ray laboratory for more than 20 years. In 1960 he became a candidate of medical science, in 1969 he became a doctor of medical science. From 1970 he was a university professor. He mainly dealt with the surgical treatment of epilepsy and extrapyramidal movement disorders, the functioning of the temporal lobe, brain tumors, primarily auditory nerve tumors, brain aneurysms, and angiomas. He researched the possibilities of surgical treatment of epilepsy. As a neurosurgeon he gained international fame. For years he was the president of the Hungarian Neurosurgical Society, from 1975 he was an honorary member of the Slovak Medical Society, from 1979 he was a corresponding member of the American Society of Neurosurgery. In 1970 he received the Schaffer Károly Memorial Medal.
