* Ógyalla, January 1, 1947 – / cybernetics, university professor, associate member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (2007) ; ; He completed his university studies at the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava (1970). He began his scientific career at the Institute of Technical Cybernetics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, and from 1971 he was a lecturer at the Slovak Technical University (from 1990 University) (1974: assistant professor, 1982: associate professor, 1994: professor). He defended his candidate's thesis in 1976, and from 1992 he was a doctor of technical science, and from 2007 he was an associate member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He is the director of the Institute of Measurement Automation and Applied Cybernetics. His research interests include cybernetics, distributed parameter systems, process control, and problems of system identification. So far, more than 300 of his scientific publications have been published in Czech, Slovak, Hungarian and other international journals. He also takes on a public role, and in the 1990s he was the deputy mayor of Dunaszerdahely. He is the vice-president of the Hungarian Professors' Club in Slovakia, an external member of the Scientific Council of the Selye János University in Komárom. In 2003, he was awarded the Jedlik Ányos Prize by the Szímő municipality, and has received numerous professional awards.
