* Bártfa, 1746. May 22/25. – ? / doctor, flora researcher ; ; We know little reliable information about his life. He was among the first to obtain a doctorate in medicine from the medical faculty of the University of Nagyszombat in 1774. He wrote his dissertation (Flora Tyrnaviensis indigena pars prima… 1744) under the supervision of József Jakab Winkler on the flora of the Nagyszombat area. He also described two new plant species (Dactylis polygama and Thesium arvense). As the Slovak botanical historian Ivan Hrabovec notes: “The dissertation presents a sad picture of the botanically extremely barren area of Nagyszombat, stating that certain plant families are completely absent. At the beginning of the work, the author describes the signs he used to describe the plants. Starting from the ninth page, he lists and describes 120 plants.” He practiced in Gyöngyös and Hatvan from 1787.
