* Komárom, 30 January 1796 – †Rozsnyó, 16 December 1847 / physician, specialist writer, patron ; ; He completed his secondary school studies in his hometown. He obtained a doctorate in medicine from the University of Pest. From 1826 he was the personal physician of Bishop Ferenc Lajcsák of Rozsnyó, and after the death of György Marikovszky he also held the position of chief physician of Gömör county. He was one of the leading figures in the fight against epidemic diseases, and he promoted the importance of preventing eastern rinderpest (“rinderpest”) by vaccination. He made a foundation of 24 thousand silver forints for the benefit of an orphanage and hospital to be built in Rozsnyó. The latter was only opened 40 years after his death, in 1887 (Kósa–Schopper164 Hospital). He died of typhus. ; ; His main works: ; Dissertatio inaug. medica de epidemia anno 1824-25.
