Hevessy Sari

* Nyitra/Gímes, January 18, 1871 - †  Nyitra, July 28, 1981 / teacher, poet, textbook writer ; ; The daughter of a notary from Gímes, she came from an educated and public-spirited family, so she chose teaching as her profession. She worked in several village schools around Nyitra (Berencs-Nagyfalu, Csitár, Nyitragerencsér, Pográny). She taught in Pográny in the late 1950s. She also wrote poetry and, less frequently, prose, and appeared in the Nyitra Writers' Book (1935), the Magyar Album literary journal and on the pages of other newspapers (Nyitramegyei Szemle, Nyitravármegye, Esti Ujság, etc.). In 1937, her independent collection of poems was also published under the title Sárbilincsben. His life was accompanied by the loneliness of the peerless village teachers, his writings have a melancholic atmosphere, but sometimes they flash with small rural joys. Later, he worked as a methodologist at the Nitra Teacher Training Faculty, where he was also the editor of a primary school reader book.
