* Selmecbánya, October 30, 1868 – † Budapest, April 28, 1944 / mechanical engineer, professor at the Technical University; ; son of Hermann Emil Gusztáv. First assistant at the Technical University of Vienna, then chief engineer at the Resitabánya works of the Austro-Hungarian State Railways, between 1899 and 1912 he was a full professor at the Mining and Forestry Academy in Selmecbánya, from 1912 he was a full professor at the Technical University of Budapest, in 1920 he was the dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and in 1933–1934 its rector. His textbook on machine elements was a significant work that filled a gap in Hungarian technical literature. From 1920 he was a Christian party member, and from 1922 to 1935 he was a member of the National Assembly and of the Parliament. In 1923, he was the president of the Hungarian Engineers and Architects Association, and from 1924, he was the president of the Chamber of Engineers. From 15 October 1926 to 31 August 1929, he was the Minister of Trade in the Bethlen government.
