* Szepesbéla, March 14, 1842 –  † Budapest, October 5, 1887 / lawyer, zoologist, conchiologist ; ; He graduated from the University of Pest, then became the private secretary of Gr. Gyula Andrássy. In 1867, he was a draftsman in the Ministry of Finance, and in 1871 he became the general secretary of the People's Bank, which he founded, and later its general director. In his last years, he was the director of the Lublin spa. He began to deal with snails and shells as an amateur, but soon became an authority on conchiology (the scientific field dealing with mollusks). His ecological observations and experiments are notable.
