* Nagyszombat, around 1750 – † Galgóc, May 9, 1796 / parish priest, beekeeping specialist ; ; He completed his studies in Nagyszombat. In September 1776 he became a parish priest in Hrachovisté in Carniola (now Slovenia), from where he moved first to Udvarnok and then to Galgóc in 1782. He was among the first to write about beekeeping in Hungarian. His most important work, the New Beekeeper, or the Care of Bees Applied to Our Hungarian Country, which shows with short questions and answers how to treat bees in winter and summer, was first published in 1794 and went through several editions. Its sixth, expanded and improved edition was published in Bratislava in 1845.
