* Selmecbánya, October 14, 1866 – † Budapest, February 1, 1952 / Catholic parish priest, church historian, archivist, local historian ; ; He completed his secondary schooling in his hometown, Bratislava and Esztergom, and completed his theology there in 1887. In 1888 he obtained a diploma in shorthand. In 1889 he was ordained a priest and became a staff member of the Herceg-Primás archives. In 1894 he obtained a doctorate in theology and became a parish priest in Garamszentbenedek. In 1919, the Czechoslovak authorities forced him to resign from this position, although his superiors strongly objected to this.
