* Felka, 17 January 1818 – † Budapest, 8 April 1880 / theology teacher, philosopher, corresponding member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences ; ; He completed his secondary school studies in Késmárk and Miskolc between 1829 and 1838, and then in Késmárk. In 1839 and 1842 he was a student at the universities of Jena, Tübingen and Berlin. Returning to Hungary, he tutored for various families from 1842. In 1845 he became a tutor for the Szirmay family and in the autumn of 1849 he accompanied István Szirmay for his university studies in Berlin and then in Bonn. In 1851 he made a study trip to France, England and Scotland. From the autumn of 1852 he was appointed a teacher at the Augustan Lutheran High School in Szarvas. Here he taught philosophy, Greek and German, and between 1854 and 1858 he also served as the director of the institution. In 1858 he was transferred to the United Protestant Theological Institute in Pest, where he also taught philosophy and Greek. From 1871 until his death he was a private tutor at the University of Pest. The Hungarian Academy of Sciences elected him a corresponding member in 1867. He translated some of Aristotle's works, including Metaphysics, which, however, remained in manuscript. ; ; His main works: ; Fülöp Melanchthon.
