"EMBELL FLAME" - backyard fruit brandy
Agricultural and food economy
"GÖMÖR LÁNGJA" - a backyard fruit brandy - is one of the most cheerful expressions of Reformed parish hospitality in the Reformed Diocese of Gömör, which is limited in terms of church administration. Loránt Rákos, a Reformed pastor, prepares this pleasant drink based on years of experience, the uniqueness of which is given by the heart and soul of the handiwork, from the care of the fruit trees, through the selective picking of the fruits, to the constant monitoring of the mash. The brandies were originally made from two types of fruit: plum and quince, but in 2018 they are also made from pear for the first time, with the grower guaranteeing that all the fruits come from Gömör. This is also referred to by the poetic name of the pálinka - "GÖMÖR LÁNGJA" - which simultaneously encompasses the uniquely Hungarian temperament of the life of the people of Gömör in the Highlands and the hidden power of pálinka - as the "water of life" - to brighten up the mood. ; ; Justification ; ; The "GÖMÖR LÁNGJA" - a backyard fruit pálinka - has become the cultural currency of the Gömör region - mostly in the Reformed environment - and at the same time an elixir that dissolves tense human relationships at a community or just a friendly gathering. Due to this reputation, the "GÖMÖR LÁNGJA" has also become the interest of the universal church - the Reformed Christian Church of Slovakia - as a gift, in a decorative bottle, during the protocol representations of the church.
