Between 1931 and 1944, traditional dance, song, music, games and costume performances by peasant groups were organized under this name every year on August 20th in Hungary. The groups participating in the Budapest performances formed a social association in 1935 called the Bokréta Association, later the Hungarian Bokréta Association. The show was conceived and directed by Béla Paulini. Before 1938, groups from the territory of Trianon Hungary and later from the re-annexed territories performed at these events, presenting folk dance, folk music, costumes and festive customs on stage. After 1938, the series of events that became a movement reached the re-annexed territories, including the Upper Hungary. ; Etelka Tóth, Roman Catholic teacher (born in 1912 in Pozsonyboldogfa). She completed her schooling in Szentendre and Bratislava, and now works in Tonkháza and Illésháza.
