Laszlo Ring Lizard

* Ipolyság, June 18, 1954 – / sociologist, university lecturer ; ; He graduated from the Ipolyság high school in 1973. In 1985, he graduated from the Comenius University in Bratislava as a sociologist. From 1985 to 1988, he was an employee of the Agricultural Research Institute in Bratislava. He was dismissed from there for political reasons (he joined the work of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of the Hungarian Minority in Czechoslovakia). From 1988 to 1989, he worked as a heater. After 1989, he was one of the founding editors and then editor-in-chief of the weekly Remény (until 1992). Founding member of the Hungarian Christian Democratic Movement (MKDM). Since 1992, he has been exclusively engaged in scientific research and teaching. His area of expertise is demography, the problems of the social and population movement division of the Hungarians in Slovakia. Founder and organizing secretary of the Mercurius Social Research Group, Teleki Institute in Budapest (1992–2006), since 2007 a colleague of the European Comparative Minority Research Foundation in Budapest. Since 2004 a lecturer at the Selye János University in Komárom.
