Children's wedding

In the post-war years, children's ingenuity was manifold despite the difficulties. They often imitated adults in their games. One memorable event was the children's wedding, which was organized under the guidance of the older girls. In the summer of 1946, the bride, Nellike Kozák, and the groom, Ede Horváth, were photographed in the Horváth family yard in Felsőszeli, with Éva Mikulics, László Mikulics, and Katika Dobri next to her on the right, Gyöngyi Gyurcsy, György Gyurcsy, Aladár Szabó on the left, and Edit Mikulics, Nelli Soós, Etelka Kozák, Lajos Szabó, and Ferenc Szabó in the back row from left. The children, dressed up nicely, wearing bows, and clutching bouquets made of wildflowers, marched through the streets. Fortunately, the village's famous photographer, Rezső Szabó, was there to capture the charming gathering.
