* Vágújhely, 1840 – † Budapest, October 10, 1910 / special education teacher ; ; In 1862, he obtained a special education teacher's diploma in Budapest, and then gained experience in teaching the deaf in various German cities (Dresden, Weissenfels, Ratibor). He worked for six years at the Jewish Institute for the Deaf and Dumb in Vienna, then returned to Hungary, where he was the first director of the Jewish National Institute for the Deaf and Dumb in Budapest for 34 years (between 1876 and 1910).
