* Vajkóc, 16 January 1892 – † Budapest, 22 April 1966 / hygienist, medical historian ; ; He received his diploma from the University of Budapest in 1915. He was interested in health policy, social hygiene, worker protection and medical history, and in 1927 he was qualified as a private university teacher in the field of social hygiene and at the same time was entrusted with the administration of the Public Health Museum. For a while he worked in the Ministry of Welfare and Labour. In 1944 he was arrested by the German occupiers and then placed under police control. After World War II he was the director general of the National Institute of Public Health for a while, in 1946 he was an extraordinary university professor, and in 1952 he was a candidate of medical science. From 1957 to 1960, until his retirement, he was the acting director of the Medical Documentation Center and the Library of the Budapest Medical University. In this capacity, he launched the Horus medical history review. He is the author of numerous studies.
