* Perbete, November 13, 1877 – † Budapest, May 30, 1961 / economic writer, economic politician, executive director of the National Association of Hungarian Landlords ; ; He completed his secondary school studies in Bratislava. Between 1896 and 1908, he initially farmed in Érsekújvár, then in Pusztanovak, Moson County. From 1908 until the early 1930s, he managed a 16,000-acre lease in Csatári-major. He dealt with agricultural and agro-economic issues, and, examining the impact of the Great Depression on Hungary, he developed plans for the sale of wool, beets and potatoes. With his writings – according to contemporary opinions – he played a significant role in the establishment of the London International Wheat Convention and the bilateral wheat and sugar agreements between Hungary and some European states. As a wholesaler, he founded several spirits, oil, starch, substitute coffee and tanneries. He was the editor-in-chief of the National Agricultural Gazette. His writings were published in the Hungarian Finance, the Gazdasági Lapok, the Köztelek, the Nemzeti Figyelő, the Magyar Szesztermelő and Pester Lloyd.
