From 1928 he was the head of the Gánt laboratory of the ALUÉRC Mining and Industrial Co. Ltd. In 1932 he became a chemist at the Geological Institute. From 1935 to 1938 he was a bauxite chemist in India. After his return home he worked at ALUÉRC, from 1945 to 1960, until his retirement at the Hungarian-Soviet Bauxite Aluminum Industry Co. Ltd. (MASZOBAL), at the Aluminum Industry Directorate, at the Ministry of Industry and at the Metallurgical Research Institute. The industrial utilization of bauxite c. in the subject area was habilitated as a private university teacher (1949). He was the first to describe the appearance of bayerite under natural conditions. He produced metallic magnesium from domestic dolomite by a dry process and played an important role in starting the work on the Hungarian bauxite cadastre and in starting the domestic artificial corundum production. In addition to his scientific achievements, he also made a lasting impression in popular literature.
