He completed his theology in Esztergom, where he was ordained a priest on June 24, 1903. He was a chaplain in Kistapolcsány, then an educator with the family of Count István Weinckheim in Nagylévárd. From 1909, he was a teacher at the Officers' Training Institute in Timisoara and the director of the Temesvár Altar Society. Between 1914 and 1918, he was a field chaplain in Limanova. From 1918, he was a teacher at the Officers' Training Institute in Budapest, and between 1923 and 1926, he was a field deacon in Budapest. From 1926, he was the office director of the field bishopric in Székesfehérvár. He prepared the Hungarian and international personal identification number system. Between 1920 and 1927, he collected the military registers in Hungary and had approximately 14,000 volumes of the joint army's material concerning Hungary brought home from Vienna. He was an expert in church-military and international native language registers and the relevant private law history.
